First Tennis Lesson!

Blake just completed his first tennis lessons! Overall... a good experience. When Blake decided to stand in line and take a turn, he would hit the ball! It was fun to see him hold his racket and get excited about hitting the ball. Not fun when he would walk off the court because he was "done" standing in line or waiting his turn.... agh!!! Strong willed, he is! I think we will have another go at it next summer. :)

Visit from Grandma Chew-chew and Uncle Steven

We had a fun visit with Grandma and Uncle Steven the week after Blake's birthday! Berry picking, playing in the sand at the beach, playing at the park and much more. Thanks for a great time!

3rd Birthday Celebration!

Blake had a fabulous Lighting McQueen Birthday Party on July 4th! His friends, Gabe, John, Baby Ian, Avery, Miles and Lila, came to help celebrate. Auntie Quinn, Auntie Cheri, Papa and Grandma Ballard were there and were a huge help with all the party details. The party was held in the pavilion behind our house... we had a kiddie pool, McQueen Ball Pit, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, delicious lunch and finished up with a Lighting McQueen birthday cake. Ka-Chow!!

Birthday Tricycle!

The birthday surprises keep rollin' in! Papa Jerry bought him a new red, shinny Schwinn Tricycle! Blake is in love.... It is sooo cute! We have taken it to the park and around the neighborhood several times... already getting it broken in. See ya later alligator!

Big Boy Haircut

It was time to chop some of the wild curls on top of Blake's head... He did a great job, sitting in the barber's chair all by himself. He is quite the big boy! Cutie patootie...

Happy Father's Day!

We had a wonderful Father's Day weekend up at Mt. Hood. James was actually off all weekend! Wahoo! I surprised him with an overnight stay in the small town of Welches at the base of Mt. Hood and brunch the next morning at the Timberline Lodge (up on Mt. Hood). We had a fun time hanging out, just the three of us. I cooked him a delicious dinner in the rented cabin and we really enjoyed the food at Timberline. It was a toasty 33 degrees up on the Mountain. The first day of summer and we were wearing snow boots.... hmmm. Great time however!

Happy Birthday to Blake!

Papa Steve and Grandma Jessica brought a very cool birthday gift! Blake loves his egg chair... spends lots of time spinning, hiding and reading books in it... So fun!
